RI-01: An Introduction to Trade Credit Insurance/Receivables Insurance
An Introduction to Receivables Insurance is a five chapter course designed to explain what receivables insurance is and the many ways it can benefit a business. It will also outline how Receivables Insurance can fit into your portfolio of offerings to your insurance customers.
The modules in this course will provide you with;
- an understanding of the components of a credit insurance policy
- the process of issuing a credit insurance policy
- the state of the credit insurance industry in Canada and globally
- how to sell credit insurance
- how to engage a credit insurance client

How this course works
Each course consists of chapters, chapter modules and a quiz at the end of each module. In order to advance through the course you are required to complete each chapter as a unit. In the Course Content chart below you can see the chapters in this course and the progress status for each.
As you work our way through each chapter you can mark each chapter module as complete. Your progress through each module will be indicated by the green bar at the top of the page. Once all modules within the chapter are complete you will be able to access the chapter quiz by clicking the “back to chapter” link at the bottom of the page.
Your overall progress through the course is shown as a green bar on the course home page. You can access this page in two ways: by clicking on the linked text in the progress bar; or by clicking the “back to course” link at the bottom of each main chapter page.
It is not necessary to complete the course in one sitting. You may log in at anytime to complete the course components.
When you have completed the course chapters and the quiz with a pass rate 80% or greater you can download your certificate of completion by clicking the button at the top of this page. Those who require a certificate for Quebec should send;
- Your Name
- Number of Course (e.g. RI-01)
- Date Course completed
- and your Quebec AMF certificate number
